What is so amazing about this technology is that any type of animal fat or vegetable oil can be used to make biodiesel. As an alternative fuel source it is hard to beat the ease with which it can be made and its positive impact on the environment.
The conversion to more biofuel is probably inevitable. One of the major advantages of biodiesel is the fact that it can be used to power cars and help with the environment. Most of the diesel engines do not require any modification in order to use bio-diesel instead of petrodiesel.
All this oil, fat, and grease will need to be processed in a specialized processor which removes any contaminates before it refines the oil into biodiesel fuel. Across the United States and within some countries will be facilities, small or big, making biodiesel. Oil prices never really came down even after the crisis was long over.
So, is biodiesel good or bad for the environment? There are subsequent environmental benefits when choosing to use biodiesel over conventional petroleum based diesel.
