BioDiesel can be used as fuel on its own, or blended with regular diesel in any percentage. Biodiesel is the only alternative fuel to have fully completed the health effects testing
In the process they discovered that just about any kind of vegetable or animal oil that we use to cook with today can be processed into biodiesel fuel. In view of the fact that biodiesel does not contain sulphur and aromatics, it burns cleaner leaving very few traces of contaminants. As with all cars, however, there are also downsides, as use of bio-diesels in vehicles increases nitrogen oxide, which is also a harmful pollutant, contributing to acid rain, ground-level ozone, and global warming, among other things.
Several companies and private undertakers have launched investigations to find fuel alternatives to petroleum products. There are kits available to convert diesel engines that have problems with burning biodiesel. Most manufactured diesel engines are still designed for petroleum diesel.
Biodiesel is the future. Follow the instructions closely and heed all the safety precautions before you begin to process your biodiesel.
