The gasoline prices have increased by several notches in the United States in the last couple of years. Not only can the biodiesel be utilized as fuel on its own, it can be interfused with the standard diesel in any ratio.
Several companies and private undertakers have launched investigations to find fuel alternatives to petroleum products. It will require a vast area of land to produce enough fuel to replace the petroleum fuel. Biodiesel's local resources can be cheaply grown and are excellent for the environment.
Changes to the feedstock source or additives may be needed to address the cold flow properties of this fuel. If you are unsure if making biodiesel is something you want to do you might try finding someone close by who is already making it. It has a lower emission compared to petroleum diesel, so it has a better effect on our environment.
There is still a lot of work ahead of us to truly replace the fossil fuels with bio fuel. Most governments have been proceeding with caution and rightly so but mixed messages from governments around the world have only added to the uncertainty around the use biodiesel fuel.
